I visited this restaurant today and the fried chicken was excellent! The fried chicken was crispy, moist, tasty, seasoned properly and delicious! My waiter Cirillo was great, he was very attentive and polite. The inside including the restaurants were really clean. I loved the special they had which I ordered and it was 2 breast that comes with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw that can be substituted for 50 cents. I substituted the Baked Beans for the Greens on the menu. I did not like the Greens, they tasted like Spinach with a very tiny amount of pork for added flavor. The Cole Slaw was okay but it definitely was not the best I've had. I will definitely be back for the fried chicken and the prices are great!
I was offered a chance to have another experience with Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken. I took the offer this time instead of taking my food to go. I ate there at the restaurant and took a To-go order as well. I was served by Deatra she was very professional, attentive and courteous. The experience was great. My biggest complaint previously was that the chicken was soggy and tasteless.
This time this was very good, service was a plus. So I'm resubmitting my review on this restaurant and say if you are eating in the restaurant you will get awesome quick service and great food.
All around excellent food. Chicken was crunchy and juicy, perfect as it could be. Service was really good, we got there at a busy time, and they were on top of it. Price wasn't too bad either, 4 people to get full about 50 bucks, after tip. Not bad at all. Go next door to the cinnamon bun place and they will validate your parking with a delicious desert. Great spot to have lunch. Will definitely go again.
A little plain for world famous. Over all good but some mashed potatoes 🥔 along w white GRAVY would really make it a 5 for me. I had the tenders w fries and Mac and cheese. Tenders were hearty and breading was good but a little to dry. It was not to greasy tho. Had a little spice to it for flavor. Choice of ranch or honey mustard. Serving was generous and matched the price. Mac and cheese was very good as well. Bread could be better. Just a Texans sized bread cut. Could at least grill it or something.
Are you kidding me!?! How come I'm just now hearing about this fabulous fried chicken!?! Juicy! Moist! Hint of spice! Creamy macaroni! Fresh. A slight wait, but worth it. The Chocolate Chess pie is so refreshing. May seem a little pricey, but again totally worth it.
