La Margarita Mexican Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Great mexican restaurant in the historic market. Food was good, although I forgot to snap some pictures. However, I didn’t forget to snap a shot of our desert! :) This market area is a fun place to go to anyhow. It’s got a lot of fun shops, in and all around it, and it’s also a drop off and pick up for the hop on/off bus company that takes you to 19 locations. So you can drive here or make it part of your 48hr bus tour. They have plenty of indoor seating, but we sat outside, which on a nice day I would recommend. One thing to watch out for are the unfearful pigeons that will happily land on your table for a snack if left unattended. This can be avoided by just keeping at least one person there at all times. Otherwise, plan on a unexpected guest trying to snack on your chips, etc.

Very good food & beverages. The frozen Margarita is excellent. A very popular tourist eatery. Expect a wait to be seated to your table.

Food quality has declined and prices have gone up. Margaritas are still great
