We had tried to go another restaurant having heard that they were known to have the best tacos in San Antonio, but they were closed. En route to another location, we found La Revolucion, which as we quickly learned had the best tacos we've had in San Antonio. I'd not had machacado or a birria taco before, so those were definitely happening. My husband chose a birria taco and mini al pastor tacos.

First up, the machacado and egg, delicious and beyond full of flavor. Not your average breakfast taco.

Next up, the al pastor tacos. Perfectly on point. Add the green or red salsa, both of which are amazing, but be warned from a spice lover, they aren't for the faint of heart. Proceed with caution.

Finally, the birria taco, phenomenal and full of flavor but buckle your seat belt, because it only gets better. After the first bite, the manager walked over and suggested we try the birria with the onion, cilantro and soup that comes with the birria plate. He was not wrong, the soup took the already delicious birria taco to heights I didn't know a taco could reach. Y'all. Listen to me. You've got to put La Revolucion on your list of must visit. I'll definitely be back!
