Mae Dunne has to be the best brunch establishment in San Antonio! Pro tip: try to make reservation 24 hours in advance on weekends. Even without, they’ve usually been able to accommodate our groups within 30 minutes or less.

The interior dining and private party room are warm and earthy, with rustic, vintage inspired design. We love dining al fresco on the patio with an Aperol Spritz or latte, under striped parasols, giving a breezy, Mediterranean aesthetic. The overall impression is a cozy, well-curated space that blends historical elements with modern furnishings and decor.

The food is outstanding, with a variety of fresh, delicious options to choose from, with a wide spectrum of sweet and savory. Specialty cocktails are expertly crafted, and meticulously prepared with high-quality ingredients and careful attention to detail, that perfectly complement the brunch menu.

While everything is amazing , we rave about the crab cake eggs Benedict, short ribs (the entree, tacos, or on eggs Benedict), chilaquiles, Turkish eggs toast, French toast, and tres leches.
Drinks are paired well with specialty coffees, teas, and juices, fresh and made to order. For a boozy brunch, the classic carajillo, espresso martini, and Miggy French are spectacular; elevated and refreshing.

This spot is the ultimate destination for homemade brunch delights in town. We keep coming back for the unparalleled friendly service, and delicious food made with care; it stands out as the best brunch spot around. It's a true gem where guests can savor homemade dishes that exude warmth and comfort, making every visit a memorable experience for brunch lovers. Thank you Mae Dunne, we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Had a delightful brunch experience at Mae Dunne Kitchen & Goods in Leon Springs. Although having been in the area often, I more recently realized it was a restaurant that also sold kitchen items versus a stand alone home goods store. The menu was somewhat limited but our dishes and the service were great.

New favorite brunch spot in San Antonio! We came at opening on a Sunday morning and were the only people there for about an hour.

We loved the complementary pecan bread and the atmosphere right away. Bright, clean, open, and well appointed. Our waitress was so warm and inviting and recommended the short rib tacos for my husband and a coffee. I had the papa grande breakfast plate with a lavender limonada that was so refreshing. We were both impressed with the quality of the food, everything was done extremely well. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy more of the sweeter side of breakfast, pancakes or French toast!

I also loved the back story of the restaurant, named after a great great grandmother who was a brave woman and had Southern and Mexican background, tied into the foods they serve.

    Mae Dunne is simply excellent!!!
The restaurant is elegant and cozy at the same time, the decoration details are tasteful, original and beautiful. They have so many little details, like the owners family picture on the coaster and many more that you have to go and see for yourself.
All this create a very unique ambiance, makes you feel that you want to be there.
As a starter, They bring a courtesy appetizer which is a piece of this bread that they make there and it is delicious!
While we were there we order the banana pancakes, OMG they were so good!!!
Also we tried the Machacado, and surprisingly it is one of the best machacados that I’ve had and I’m comparing to authentic Mexican Machacado.
The service was good but not excellent, I’m assuming that due to the holidays they were probably short staffed, but this would not be a reason not to go again, as a matter of fact I can’t wait to go and try new things from the menu because the food is soooo good!!!

Brunch is always fun! Me and hubby tried this place! It was really awesome! Loved their Chilaqiles, sooooo delicious!
The Bloody Mary was tasty as well! Right, I didn't have my go to Moscow M, worry I will!

They are very thoughtful, we got a little pecan cake treat, before we ordered! Yummy, as well! Love the atmosphere, and the place is beautifully done with a modern look! I love a no wait too long to be served brunch! It was a perfect Sunday brunch, with excellent food and service!

I Shall Return! You Must Try!
