This place is not your generic Italian restaurant. You truly feel the care and intention that is placed into the creation of the menu. We tired a few different things and they were all delicious! The pasta made inside the Parmesan cheese wheel is decadent. The service was great and the owner checked in on us several times to make sure everything was to our liking. Good service stands out these days. We are already planning our next visit to Nonna!
Nona Osteria, is a charming artisan northern Italian restaurant located on 1604, right beneath Silo Restaurant. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a slightly hidden but inviting vibe. We started with the Burrata appetizer, featuring melted cheese over a flavorful red sauce, accompanied by bread and a unique chorizo-like spread with an olive taste.
I opted for the black spaghetti with lobster, (sorry missed pic) but it was decent. My husband savored the braised short ribs, while my daughter found her pasta dish with chorizo or or more like salami to be satisfying.
Their food menu is limited, but if you like wine, the restaurant offers an extensive selection of wines. Also to give you an idea on price my black spaghetti at $39 was the most expensive dish on the menu. Our server was attentive and helpful, enhancing our dining experience. Overall, Nona Osteria is a decent choice for Italian cuisine, with two locations – one on 1604 and another downtown.
UH-MAZING!!!
Food, atmosphere, and service are phenomenal!!
Evelyn was the epitome of 5 star service! Explained and answered all questions, always had water and wine full. Prompt and kind server! Ask for her!!
Food is delicious and authentic.
Highly recommend the tartufo made in the Parmesan cheese wheel.
One of the best Italian food experiences I’ve ever had!
It's a medium size Italian restaurant with nice and cozy interior. You can eat there only by reserving in prior, so you can't explore the menu before going out, as I usually do because I am vegetarian and I am picky. Service is good. Food is amazing, quite authentic. There's some choice of cocktails and some wine card. Everything I drank was good. This restaurant is really pricey, so be ready for that.
This is one of the best meals we have ever had. Everything rocked. The Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and the Pizza (and crust) was better than at Dough Restaurant! I think some people miss seeing it with Silo upstairs, but it has every bit as good of food, just in a more casual environment. Certainly needs to be on more folks radars.
