this is the first sushi place i’ve ever been to. my boyfriend took me here because he loves sushi and has heard nothing but great things about this place. our server, bobby, was super hospitable and amazing. he gave us great recommendations on the happy hour menu and for dinner. the sushi was absolutely delicious. we will definitely be regulars here:)

I honestly don’t have enough good things to say about Shiro. They are hands down the best sushi spot in San Antonio. Their fish is great quality, their owner/chef is from Japan so he’s got the real stuff, the service is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is so cool. Definitely try this place out!!!

Was very excited to try this place for happy hour. Sushi was very good. A bit more elaborate than what I normally get but we wanted to check out their happy hour offerings. They have a regular menu too which looked to be very good.

If you get nothing else here you should definitely try their fried squid. It was such a delightful appetizer. Paired great with a light beer.

Crab croquettes were not my favorite but I can see other people really liking it.

Great location with a patio right next to the riverwalk.

Excited to come back and try more of their sushi.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had good sushi. It doesn’t compare to the sushi venues found on the east and west coast (or from Japan), but probably one of the best sushi restaurants in downtown San Antonio. Each dish we had was very flavorful and satisfying. Their vegan options are delicious as well! Highly recommended!

This place is absolutely amazing! Me and my husband went there last week and the food and atmosphere are amazing. We were greeted by the most sweetest hostess Ella! Our server Bobby was awesome with his suggestions. The flavors and plating are worthy of awards. So much passion and heart is out into this food, even down to the soup we had with our chicken teriyaki, it tasted homemade❤️

My husband is the Executive Chef of our restaurant and he couldn’t help but notice this one young man in the back with a red mask on. Because when we got to the restaurant that young man held the door open for us and welcomed us in. We both were impressed with this young mans speed and confidence as we watched in the back. We stopped him to ask him his name when he was going to the bathroom I assume and told him good job. Of course my husband offered him a job which Gavin politely turned down because “he values his Chef”. This young man has valuable people skills and speaking skills. His Chef must be super lucky and proud as we were kind of jealous😂

Truly over all, we left the restaurant speechless and in aw of how great this restaurant is. Truly grateful to have an authentic Japanese restaurant of this standard to go to in SA now❤️🙏🏽 we are gonna pass this experience on to our friends and get the word out that this place is a powerhouse and on another level of amazing!!!
