Wow. AMAZING food at a nice price. Went on a double date and we all shared various plates. Definitely a good call. And the wine is excellent. Just buy a whole bottle - the price is a steal! shaded patio seating is a plus ??
Lucky to have them as my neighborhood restaurant. Their food is so savory and always look forward coming here to experience something new
The staff is very accommodating and even with a minor mix-up recently, they went above and beyond to make it right. Love the fact they take ownership and pride in their food and service.
Thank you Magpie, stay strong!
It is a small restaurant but they offer variety of food. Menu changes every week so make sure to follow them on Instagram for updates.
I had pork belly, shrimp toast and butter cake.
Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Will be back for sure.
Came for their last lunch menu. They will be starting their dinner service on the 23rd and abandoning lunch. On to the review. The food, while not traditional Korean, was just amazing. Service was on point. Attentive, but not hovering. My only observation was that the pricing and size of plates was a bit much for a lunch menu. Looking forward to trying dinner service.
So excited to have found an upscale Korean restaurant with authentic homey food! To start off with, the owners are the cutest couple and are delightful to talk with as we reminisced about Korean food from the motherland and how San Antonio’s food scene is exploding.
We ordered the potato pancake to begin with and I have to start with how I hate hash browns... and the pancake had a hash brown consistency, but this dish has changed me to love potatoes again! The pancake was super buttery and balanced with the chive creme on top. It almost was refreshing~ we then got the shrimp toast which tasted like a French onion soup and a burger combined. So savory with enough crunch from the fried onions on top to make you want to order five of these to eat in one sitting. Next we got chap Jae which tasted just like home~ you can tell the noodles were fresh and the vegetables were as well. Perfect dish for a vegetarian! We ended with the kalbi jjim and we were so surprised at how thick the sauce was and the pork fell right off the bones. I ate the ribs with just a FORK! The chef knew how to perfectly combine all the ingredients to each dish to not overpower the palate. I loved how she didn’t “Americanize” the marinades to be too sweet and let fresh ingredients shine through each bite.
It was the perfect end to our date night. ❤️ if you haven’t tried korean food but want to venture out, this is the perfect spot for a cozy date night. We’ll be coming back for sure!
