Dixie Diner

Food was okay. Rolls were very good. Cornbread had an overpowering flavor of baking powder. I had fried catfish. It was okay. I prefer light breading and this was hard, which obliterated the flavor of the fish. Hubby had chicken fried steak and said it was really good. Sides were pretty good. I had pinto beans and salad and he had fried okra and creamed corn. Service was great. Employyes were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Biggest surprise was the Confederate Flag logo that is still on display. Please remove that!

Our server was so delightful! I wanted bone in fried chicken, which wasn't served here. But I gladly settled for fried chicken livers, which were amazing! Mashed potatoes, turnip greens, Mac and cheese, black eyed peas were delicious! (I tried a little of each) and the cornbread and dinner rolls were delicious as well. Loved the environment, wall decor was very interesting. Also the sweet tea is out of this world. Also tried the strawberry ice box pie, which topped it off. Definitely recommend this to place to anyone.

Always a great experience when I go there. Everyone is nice, kind, and professional. Even the own comes out and greets you.
