La Casona Mexican Restaurant

Food is always excellent. Servers are always helpful and friendly. Management visits every table and makes sure you are well taken care of. I would give 5 stars, but the last few visits the bathrooms have been dirty and not well maintained. Understanding that the place does get extremely busy during peak hours, but they really need to stay on top of the restrooms. Other than that visits are always great!

The best chimichanga I have ever eaten. The beans and rice were memorable as well. I got heartburn, but it was worth it. I shall return.

We were visiting from out of state. La Casona was busy at 2 pm on Friday. The music was a bit too loud. However, the service was fast. Our servers didn't seem fyi speak a lot of english but they were friendly. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed their crunchy taco and cheese enchiladas. And who doesn't love free soft serve ice cream?

You can't go wrong with this place, the food is good and the service is great. There are far better small restaurants in Lake Jackson/clute though. Also, their "fajita" meat has gristle, the real stuff doesn't.

Food was good but we were rushed. Offered a to go plate when I was only 1/4 of the way through my meal. Two people did not speak English that waited on us when we first got there and got everything wrong. Brought the bill but never came back to collect. Could have finished my meal by the time it was sorted. Kinda pricey depending on what you ordered in comparison to other Mexican food restaurants we go to regularly.
