If you like seafood then this is the place to go. Bar area is a little small but pleasant. Outside dinning area sometimes has live music. Great family place.
We loved this place. We have driven by many times but decided to try it after church. Everything good. I love redfish and they gave me a wonderful piece blackened perfectly. The dirty rice is the best I had in Texas. My friend had the cumbion, yum and double yum. This place beats imitations. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Service was good. Food was good. The gumbo is very good. Had fish which was also good. Also had fired shrimp and oysters which were excellent.
We decided to go to Floyd's for seafood on a Monday night. My dad and his wife were in town and they like to try a different restaurant each time they visit. Floyds had a few birthday parties taking place and the wait seemed to be long. We decided to stay anyways. The staff got us seated in less than 20 minutes. All of the staff that night had smiles on their faces and were very welcoming. The food was prepared in a timely manner. No long wait times even with a full house. Greatest experience I've had at a restaurant nowadays. The military discount is 50% off which is awesome. Not too many businesses honor our soldiers like they should. My dad was so impressed. We decided as a family to support this business. Food is great, and service is amazing. Now I see why a lot of people go here.
I've eaten at Floyd's for years and have always enjoyed the food. We usually eat at the I-45 location but the other day we stopped in Pearland instead. I ordered gulf oysters and wow, they were absolutely fantastic. Must be a good harvest because they were plump, clean, briny and delicious. The chicken sandwich was huge and tasty (soft bread, good buffalo sauce). The redfish was grilled with blackened seasoning and tasted great while the frog legs were a hit with the kiddos. We were stuffed with leftovers--good value for the food you get. You can bet we will be coming back to the Pearland location in the future.
Floyd's in Pearland is our favorite place to go for great service. You can get in & out quickly for lunch. Their waitstaff is fun, energetic, fast & always smiling. You feel like family when you're there. They made my son's birthday very special & for that they have earned us as regular customers.
