Smokin' R BBQ

Quick service, good food and prices what you would expect.

Staff was friendly.
Green beans had pepper and was way too hot to eat.
Brisket was dry and the coating was too hot to eat.
Not enough food items to choose from the hot table.
Clean place and good for groups.

Here's the deal with Smokin R. they're the best kept secret West of the Brazos. The quality of their meals are only surpassed by the amazing value as the prices are beyond reasonable. *Especially the daily specials.* That peach cobler has my wife dreaming about it.

Food was delicious! Kinda pricey, but it was still good. Self service here. Fill your own drinks, sides, napkins, condiments. I like the set up. Two different kinds of BBQ sauce spicy and original. Very nice. ???? Staff was kind while placing the order. It was our first time there so we were stumbling through ordering. But with their help mission was accomplished! Great meal. Kids actually ate!

I was in the area visiting Phillips 66. First time resting here. I had the lean brisket and ribs. My sides were cole slaw and baked beans. I give the food a 10 out of 10. The front counter was a little slow but nothing to complain about. The girls were super nice. Maybe just tweak the process to make the line a bit faster. Highly recommend!
