Proudest Monkey

Came in here yesterday and we had awesome food and my husband also had a couple drinks. Came back today wanting some cold beer and more great tacos. Beer could barely pass for cool, and when I asked for cold mug, she told me they didn't have any :-( But the food is awesome!

Fine scene for tasty burgers. Certainly a top place in the area. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. Bring your hunger - portions are large.

Really great sweet potatoe fries, my date would attest to that as well. The burgers aren't oversized but have good flavor and it's a nice whole in the wall. Great addition to Bryan!

I'm truly shocked that I've never left a review for the Monkey. This is one of my definite go to in Historic Downtown Bryan.

Food: Get the fries. Don't waffle back and forth try to make it decision... Just get them. You will not be disappointed. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos and the chorizo burger is just amazing. That said, my go-to burger here is the Willie Norris. I always substitute blue cheese... And it is perfect every single time.

Drinks: they've got a wide range of beer and the staff will always give you a good recommendation. The mixed drinks are fantastic. The ice cream martinis are to die for.

One of my favorite burgers I’ve ever had. Really cool ice cream martinis, too. Burgers are surprisingly affordable, drinks can be expensive but very cool. I keep coming back with different friends, even just to check out some new drinks.

The burger with the Monkey Sauce (peppery mayo kinda) was phenomenal. It gets messy, though, so keep it wrapped up in the paper as long as you can. I got a customized one with a fried egg. The yuppy fries were very good too.

The bar gets crowded on popular nights, but the ice cream martinis are all really tasty ($8 each or so though). All their other drinks that I’ve tried are very good, too. Never had anything to complain about after leaving this place.
