Cotton Patch Cafe

Cotton Patch was, as usual, a good place for a nice meal. Good service, not a long wait, not a noisy place and not too quiet, food cooked well and tasted good, and we saw a friend from out of town! Parking was easy, right in front of Cotton Patch, and free. And everything led to a nice evening.

A solid B. The food here is generally good and very reasonably priced. They have great daily specials and fun seasonal/limited items. It is convenient for a lot of residents in South CS, and doesn't typically have huge crowds which can be nice. It is clean and the atmosphere is fairly pleasant. Its biggest downfall is probably the service, which is inconsistent at best. We have been probably 20 times, and have had "good" service only 3 or 4 times. The rest of the time, it is very mediocre and often slow. It's not unusual for your server to disappear for long periods, or for them to be huddled chatting with other servers around the register or in the kitchen. Go when you are looking for a very laid back experience.
