Had breakfast with old friends. Dining room is an old dining car, so seating is limited, but the waiting area is a comfortable, spacious porch. Very family friendly. We all tried different dishes and each one was delicious. We decided that the best savory dish was the breakfast burrito with the green chile sauce and the best sweet was the churro pancake! Definitely recommend the next time you're in town!
Wow, had the pork rinds today they ere still popping at the table. So excellent. Can't beat their Philly Cheesesteak (redneck style with mushrooms). My oh my, just the ever loving best in Texas.
Delicious authentic diner food, super friendly service and an amazing location. Enjoyed our visit so much. I'll dream about the Mexican Green Chili Burger every time I'm hungry from now on.
Nothing daring about the breakfast menu, but my friends and I agreed hands down it the food was perfection. Best biscuits and gravy! The reviews I've seen said the portions are smaller now than before, but we ate breakfast at 10:30 and had to skip lunch and weren't even hungry at dinner. Serving staff couldn't have been better. Not sure why anyone would complain about the metal trays the food was served on. Pretty adorable.
I used to treasure this place. The food was good, portions were large & it was cheap. I recently visited again and found myself disappointed. Smaller portions at higher prices, mediocre food (now served on weird, unlined metal trays), served by an irritable waitress. Some things haven't changed; it still has a great atmosphere and a long wait. They don't give out wait times on the phone, which is also strange, but it used to be worth it.
