Everyone got their catfish basket with sweet potato fries for lunch. We got enough to eat, but another piece of fish would have been nice. The sweet potato fries and cole slaw were good. Service was great. Well go back again like we have for years.

I enjoyed the food here, but I felt really sad for the place. All the waitresses were over the age of 60, sick & coughing, and with what appears like bad backs, health issues, etc. I don't think anyone should have to work that late into life, and particularly being on their feet all day. I'm not sure I'd return there to eat, just because seeing the staff working this place just made me feel uneasy.

An enjoyable moment shared with my family enjoying comfort food on an early Friday evening where we tried out a bowl of gumbo, a dozen oysters on the half shell, grilled blackened salmon, bacon shrimp diablo and fried Gulf shrimp. Sides were green beans and hushpuppies, okra, broccoli, spicy beans and coleslaw. Interesting story is a friend of my sisters who worked with her almost 20 years ago as teacher at an elementary school, told her that Doc’s was her Papaw’s name chosen for this Marble Falls restaurant, while her aunt and uncle were the original owners. And somewhere on the premises is a photograph of Doc fishing. That’s all I know with detail. I can’t confirm the story because I don’t know the friend.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. The fried shrimp kind of reminds me of the frozen shrimp you can buy at HEB. My husband's steak was thin and tough. His baked potato didn't have any butter, just a huge pile of sour cream. The tea glasses are small and we did not see a waitress giving refills. It's a little expensive for the quality of food.
