LaVaca BBQ is the BBQ Joint to get the Best BBQ in Texas their Pork Belly is great and the Brisket is amazing they have a Jalapeño cream corn ? that is to die for along with other sides that are delectable but what really got my attention is the awesome customer service and atmosphere the place has and the BEST part of my experience is that their motto takes to heart ❤️ because " YOU WILL FIND JESUS AT LaVaca BBQ"
Delicious brisket, great friendly service. Even get free ice cream afterwards. Definitely will be back worth the drive.
I travel thirty minutes just to eat BBQ at this place .I have always had great service and great food.LaVaca BBQ is doing bbq the right way.Jalapeno cream corn and other sides make the dining experience amazing and you also get a small cup of vanilla bluebell ice cream.
Takeout order - brisket, sausage, ribs, potato salad, creamed corn. Took to small family picnic to celebrate birthdays. All were from Houston and said this was the best BBQ they had ever tasted. The brisket was moist and very flavorful. The ribs were done perfectly with a nice crisp edge to them. Also they were moist, not dried out like a lot of other vendors. Sausage was also not dried out and had lots of flavor. The jalapeno cream corn disappeared quickly even though it was pretty spicy. Likewise, the potato salad (mustard dressing) was excellent. All in all, a great experience which we will repeat shortly.
Brisket and beef ribs were 10/10 and as good as any I have ever had. Very tender, juicy, good smoke, and good bark. The jalapeno cream corn and brisket beans were excellent. I also had central Texas sausage links and pork ribs which were also good. The sausage was nice and beefy, the pork ribs were extremely tender with good smoke. My only nitpicks are the sausage seemed a bit under-spiced and the spices on the pork ribs seemed a bit conflicting, like it is trying to be a few different BBQ styles at the same time. But that is just how my taste buds interpreted it, they were all still good and I will order them again. I drove 90 miles one way for the BBQ here and I will drive back again when I need good BBQ.
