I have been going to Rutledge since I was a child. Met the original owners too! It is not like it was then. Several times, our orders are incorrect. No bother to accuracy. People order a certain way because of allergies. You would think a food business would understand. Dont try ordering over the phone. The receiver hangs up on you after telling you to hang on or wait a moment. Its still a bit more inexpensive, but with all these issues not worth the savings. And it will never be what the original owners had. A family oriented, clean, and tasty small burger alley with kind smiling owners. Sad. Its a disgrace to the name.

100 yeard old burger joint, you don't find that everyday. Loved them little burgers, patties were seasoned just right, edges were crispy, buns were firm, loved them. You have to try it when you come down to Brownsville

Alright a very unique establishment 💯 years old, cool. Small hidden away business in Downtown. I can handle 3 burgers and we’re taking double meat double cheese. Yup made to order fresh , a jalapeño, bag of chips and a cold soda pop. Just the way I like it and have a seat in the back of my car parked in front of the burger joint. Small but great taste, fast and friendly service, fresh ingredients Great burgers 🍔 🇺🇸🤘all day long.

You've heard of a hole in the wall, but have you heard of a hole between the walls!? This historic burger joint was built in 1922 in a tiny alley! Don't eat here if you claustrophobic lol or maybe just get it to go, but the burgers are quaint. You can easily eat 2 or 3 of their double cheeseburgers. But the good part about it is it's very affordable! Man that bouble meat double cheese with ham burger was the most pricey and it wasn't even 4 bucks! Go here at least for the experience and for a good bite 😋
