We always have a great experience here. The food is excellent, service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is authentic South Texas. You can even sit on the screened in porch on a nice day. The Banana Pudding is just like mom made!

This was a fun treat! Some local friends recommended this gem to us out of towners and it did not disappoint!!! The service was friendly and very attentive and the food was amazing. We ordered the po’boy sandwich and the massive loaded baked potato (sorry I didn’t get pics) both were delicious and we would order both again. A must have is their beans!! Wow!! They were fantastic! Also the banana pudding was ordered by our friends it’s something they say you must try. Unfortunately we were too full to order dessert so it will have to wait till next time!

I drive 45 min to eat at this place, it's so good! The brisket sandwich, the spud and the beans are out of this world! Consistently good food every time. The banana pudding is a must after your meal. Great service and great atmosphere.

Great local restaurant to pick up your favorite smoked meats. Loaded spud has plenty of fillings and is delicious. If you’d like to try a variety of things you can order the triple combination. The brisket is soft, moist and has a good smoky flavor. The chicken is soft, moist and has the perfect smoked flavor. Sausage pieces are crunchy and have a great flavor. The beans are the first thing served and they are also really good. Great restaurant to try if you want a different flavor profile from Rudy’s. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were seated and served very quickly. If you have room for desert try the turtle cheese cake, it is really good.

Really enjoyed this place! The “Chopped Cheddar Spud” loaded potato was as delicious as it sounded. “Jumbo Idaho Baked Potato Stuffed with Chopped Brisket, Topped with Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream & Real Whipped Butter” served with “World Famous Pinto Bean Soup” (and free refill), all for $12.95 !!! Greeted and Seated immediately upon entry, and the spacious rear dining room had plenty of windows and lots of hard wood, overlooking a scenic pasture where a horse and longhorn cattle lazed about. Pinto beans appeared instantly and the order was placed and served in about 5 minutes tops. Hot, fresh, and loaded with meat, blanketed with cheddar cheese, and two healthy scoops—one butter and one sour cream—on top. A full, delicious meal in a clean, friendly place. And they even had Topo Chico! Plus plenty of beers and wines to choose from. This place is a must-do for visitors and locals alike. (As a “pescatarian” with an occasional craving for meat — this meal did the trick.
