one of the most unique places to eat in East Texas.... great breakfast too!
I have heard for a while now how awesome this place was. Had a little weekend getaway on the lake so I figured I needed to make a trip to try it out. Let me tell ya I was not disappointed. The links were phenomenal with great flavor. Not really what I am accustomed to when I hear hot links. They were savory and tender but not your typical red color or really spicy until you added their homemade hot sauce. The sauce was so simple but added so much flavor. With or without the sauce these were great! Ended up taking a 5lb box of frozen ones to go. 5/5 stars and will go back.
Time honored tradition abounds with the historic district of the town, and the tasty, delicious, greasy, dependable "old-fashioned" time honored Pittsburg TX hot links, still served with a flare on a piece of waxed paper with hot-link based chili and crackers! The traditional time honored hot sauce is available for the palate loving more heat, but oldersters and youngsters alike gather at the "picnic-style tables and counters to reminiscence and enjoy those awesome, probably-not-so-healthy delectable links loved so much by our ancestors from decades and decades of our past. Don't leave the Pittsburg TX area without eating this treat in it's original location in the downtown area. Beware of other stores advertisement them on the menu, because part of the delicious ambience is location and the original location's ability to serve up this taste of history in it's original location. ENJOY!
We bought hotlinks with chili and cheeseburger basket. Everything was delicious. Service was a little slow.
If you’re ever out in East Texas wondering what can I find to eat? Try this. Sausages, crackers and hot sauce. Whoa... this is good food.
