Hidalgo's Cafe

Our South Texas bunch stopped in while in the area for an event. Besides calling tacos burritos it's very comparable in Tex-Mex flavors from home. If you are hankering for a glass of sweet tea, they can serve that right up- it's sweet! We rate resturants on tea and chips and they did well on both. The chips were thin and cripsy and salsa had a pleasant kick to it. Only reason why we gave them a 4-star rating is how hot the dining area was when we were there. Albeit was 103° outside that day, it was a humid 83°inside, even though it was set to 72°. Made our tummys churn from the heat. So we packed up our plates and took them to go. The food was very tasty and was even good when we reheated it later. Would be happy to stop in again, when cooler.

They have a large selection on their menu. The food is normal nothing to special. Your wait time for servers to assist you is very long and your meals take a while too. Make sure you have plenty of time when you come here to eat. Clean restaurant friendly staff.

Food was good but not great! Hot sauce was just that... Like tobasco instead of salsa. I was okay till the girl brought the mop bucket around and there was so much cleaner that I could only smell that and taste it ....and not my food. The waiter we had acted scared to say anything.
