We moved from Allen when this place was being built but came back and tried it a couple months later. I can definitely say this is the best Coney we’ve had outside of Detroit. Hope they reopen soon!
You will have to go to Detroit to get a better Coney Island!
North Texas is the "Black Hole" in the Coney Island universe. In virtually any other part of the country Coney Island restaurants are everywhere. For some bizarre reason they are very hard to find in the Dallas area. "Chips" on Lovers Lane in Dallas comes close. But the "Chips" Coney Island is really more of a chili dog, which is NOT the same thing as a Coney Island
I am VERY happy I made the 14 mile drive to the Coney Island in Allen Texas. The Coneys here are perfect! They know how to make them properly. On scale of 1 to 10 their Coneys are a 9.9. I find their french fries to be under-cooked. I recommend that you order them "well done". In their defense, Coney Island restaurants are known for white french fries. I prefer mine the way Keller's Drive-In or Mooyah makes them. Just say "Well done please." and they will happily accommodate you.
The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating and easy parking, right out front. A friendly staff takes your order without the use of any germy touch-screens.
How could this restaurant be better? Have genuine Coca-Cola products, not a substitute. Table service. Table service always makes a restaurant more fun, I would happily pay more for table service. Stay open until, 10PM.
If they ever have a location in North Dallas / West Plano, my family will come three times a week.
Perfect to satisfy the hot dog craving. Prices are great and staff was super friendly. Flavor was good as far as chili dogs go; were excited to try their other offerings covered in chili and cheese. ????
Good food and good people. Chili was good and the wieners were out of this world delicious. Staff were very warm and friendly????
It is so very nice to see that this Tulsa chain has finally branched out. Initially I was very skeptical as I have been going to the ones in Tulsa for 30 years. To my pleasant surprise it tasted just like being back home. I talked with the owners son and he explained how they came to own one here in Texas and it was a story of never giving up. I’m very glad that they never gave up as I always stop by one in Tulsa and it is nice to have one so close by now. I no longer have to get jealous when I see my friends post that they are there now.
