My band, Below the Radar, has played Daddy Rex's many times and we simply love these guys. The food is great, the crowd is always fun, but the staff is what makes this our favorite place to go. Super friendly and always spot on. Great place for crayfish when they do their specials but the Ribs are epic when they don't. Swing by, grab a beer and tell them we sent you.

So, I hear tales of this place being a Top 20 BBQ place in TX before Daddy Rex passed away a year ago. We decided to try it out. The menu has several items removed. Wife had a pulled pork sand and I had a pulled pork taco and a brisket taco. The food was hot and good. Nice Mac n cheese, good fresh fried okra, and the fries were fresh cut potatoes. Great wings. The service? Well. The waitress was new, very nice but by herself and overwhelmed. The cook time was very long. Maybe 20-25 min. Also took a bit to check out. I'd get food to go from there but wouldn't visit again.

Onion rings were awesome. BBQ was were good. BBQ potato was a good size. Cole slaw is a plus. Price was good for BBQ. Return trip soon.

Best wings ever. Smoked to perfection and flash fried for crispy locked in flavor (never greasy). Choose your favorite sauce or rub. My favorite are sweet chili and original rub. And, if you like mac and cheese then you've got to try Rex's twisted cheese sauce. You'll love it, but it should come with a medical warning. It's that delicious.
