I am a hardcore Whataburger fan & have been for years.
Only reason why I’m giving 3 stars because of the customer service I received in drive thru 04/17/19 around 2:15pm.
The lady was not only impatient but she was rude as well. I’ve worked my time in the food industry & retail service & I know for a fact it is no excuse to be treated this way. I was already having a bad day at work & didn’t even get a “Have a good day” out of her. Only thing she said to me was “You want ketchup?” In such a monotone voice and felt like we, as customers, were bugging her. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day, but everyone should be taught to keep personal matters out of a work place.
This isn’t even the first time this has happened at this location. Either this location needs to be retrained on proper customer service, or they need to hire new team members. Definitely won’t be coming back to this location.. I’ll take my business else where.
Maybe it's because I went late at night (it shouldn't matter what time you go) but I was not impressed by my last visit to this Whataburger... I'd have given them one star if I didn't have good experiences in the past. For me all it takes is one bad experience to not want to try something for years if ever. The inside of this place was filthy, employees were impatient, and when I got my food it was cold like it had been sitting in the back for hours, politely asked them to make it fresh, there was attitude, and when I got my order again it was just gross. I'm debating whether or not to change this to two stars now.
What's not to like about Whataburger? Their food appears made to order, which means a slightly longer wait time but it's normally worth it. Occasionally not-so-fresh fries make it into a bag.
They have a large menu, which includes the "All-Time Favorites" section featuring a rotating selection of pretty decent, different types of burgers and sandwiches. They have a patty melt, a chicken tender sandwich with BBQ and cheese on Texas toast, as well as a sweet and spicy burger which is awesome.
Their normal fare is really good and every once in a while a plain old cheeseburger is enough. Location matters a lot, unfortunately, if you're going to get friendly staff and how fresh the food is but the errors are so few and far between that it's worth going back. Plus this is a Texas staple.
I've had friends in from out of state and they love this place.
It was great. Hot fries. Burger was made perfect. Only thing as usual with Whataburger is the ridiculously long wait times in the drive through but great food!!
When I want that satisfying feeling of a conquering my appetite I come here especially for the Mushroom Swiss Burger! People were very nice and helpful and they made sure I was paying for what I ordered and then again at the window to make sure the correct order gets handed to you. Very happy with my experience :D
