Big Daddy's Roadhouse BBQ

This place is great. Definitely the local go to spot for bbq. Service with a smile which is always appreciated. Meat has great smoke flavor and there sauce is really good too. Sides are on point. And if you are a baked potato fan you can get a killer stuffed baked potato the size of your head. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for great bbq.

I was just out for a ride in the cool air, and I stopped in here for a little lunch. I got the Wednesday special for 12 bucks. There were enough ribs and sides for two meals. The ribs were very good. They were not overcooked, like most places, and the BBQ sauce was used as a condement and not an ingredient - like good Texas BBQ should be. The dining room has a great country atmosphere. I was very impressed.

Starting about what was good: the service was awesome, very friendly and nice place, very cozy. The potato salad was good, and the fried okra was awesome, like, really really good.

However, the regular sausage I got was tasty, but not very warm. My brisket on the other hand was cold and hard, and so I ended up not eating it. It was quite expensive all things considered.

We did come at a dead time, however, I really think they should find a way to at least keep the meats hot cause the cold was a real turn off.

Overall it was alright, but I don't know if I'd be back.

Food was good. Served buffet style. You order the meat you'd like. They plate it and hand it over the counter. Then you can pick what sides you want.
Best feature is very reasonable price. There are some places that I'd rate slightly better for taste but they couldn't beat the Roadhouse on price. They also have specials through the week that bring the cost down further.

I'd go back. Kind of a sit back and relax atmosphere.
