Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen

We have been to Sugar Bacon several times, taking friends and family, for various occasions. We've ALWAYS had great food and we've sampled many of their menu items. If you try nothing esle, you have to have the Sugar Bacon appetizer. In fact, we could just eat the appetizers and be completely happy, but you want to miss the main courses. The staff is friendly and interactive to enhance the low key, comfortable dining experience. We've never had an unpleasant experience in the 3+ years we eaten at this thoroughly enjoyable restaurant. Don't miss it.

Good service and atmosphere. Went on a random Tuesday so no reservations were needed. Food was good but a bit overpriced. I had the scallops, which came with three. My companion had the short ribs which was a heartier portion. The tea infused vodka drink was tasty. Brussel sprouts and avocado toast were both good. Overall, a nice experience. My companion wasn't overly impressed by the quality of short ribs. I felt the food was a tad pretentious as nothing wowed but overall had a nice experience.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday where we split a delicious 16oz NY Strip. Perfect medium rare! The brussel sprouts were crispy, exactly how I like them. I got a whiskey flight that had me feeling good and our server was funny, polite, and attentive. Overall a great spot for an expensive higher-end meal.

Just had wine and appetizers here. We tried the sugar bacon at the waiters recommendation and I didn't care for it. The spinach artichoke dip was good. Wish we would have tried something else. I've heard good things but not sure if I will give it another try since there are much better places nearby and I'm not in McKinney often.

When we went to this location we love the way that the atmosphere is. Is look like a Formal as a restaurant but at the same time informal. It was super cool. The place is Clean, Calm, familiar, also they had live music. When I ask for our plates we thought we going to have more amount of food however the amounts that they gave us was enough to been full. The waitress was kind and friendly.
