Server was nice, neat atmosphere (old Louisiana St Grill building), and the Hamilton sandwich is probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, as were the mashed potatoes. My friends also enjoyed their chicken fried steak and wagyu sirloin. I didn't indulge in a cocktail this trip, but they certainly looked appealing! I will definitely be returning for more.
Edit: came back for a 2nd visit. Just as great as it was the first time. Brandon is a great server!!! The “Green with Envy” and “Yard Mule” cocktails are delicious. Love this place!
A solid three. The food was expensive but at least they did it well. We got the appetizers since we really didn't know how expensive it was going to be and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. Our friends on the other hand got burgers which, although the menu was unclear on the matter, did come with fries. I was able to taste one of them and it was a pretty good burger. It wasn't $13 dollars good but it was not a disappointment.
The parking was pretty good too. It was crowded but not entirely full and the place was busy. The interior had a nice feel to it. If you wanted to take a date out for a steak and a nice though a little loud this might be a good option. The staff was friendly enough, not over the top service but everything was taken care of fairly well and I'm guessing the owner or manager made sure to visit with folks to make sure they were doing well.
I wouldn't go out of my way to go since it's over a half hour drive to get there but if I was with people who were wanting to go I wouldn't object.
Greeted nicely during the lunch rush by the host. Ordered the slab brisket plate (asked for more marbling-was not disappointed), subbed the coleslaw & potato salad for green beans with bacon & onions. Kick butt home made pickles & onions. Good strong tea. Modern farm decor inside. Lunch time is quite busy, however there are choices to sit either at the bar, at a table, or outside. Give it a try. Lots of friendly folks to help you with menu decisions.
Food was excellent and service was very good. They advertise lots of special beers and were out of several of them. Advertise 4-5 barrel drinks but only had one. It is VERY noisy inside and impossible to hear server or others at your table. Too many hard surfaces and nothing to absorb the sound. Prices very reasonable.
