The Celt Irish Pub

Loved this Irish Pub. Great fish and chips! And our bartender made us feel like we were back in Ireland.

Almost has a cheers type of atmosphere where nobody's a stranger. Eclectic crowd that is mostly happy. All around good vibes in a legitimate old Irish pub atmosphere. I can't stand the places that say they are a pub but are really just dive bars. This is not the case here.

They make absolutely the best or second best Old Fashioned I’ve ever tasted, and I’m a huge fan of the drink. You HAVE to try one. They do cool things with the orange peel and the cherry and one thing that I already forgot, but they teach all their bartenders exactly how they are supposed to make it. Anyone behind the bar can make you a great one! You will thank me later!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Celt and what it had to offer. What surprised me most was the level of thought put into each drink on the menu. The bartender, Nick, has clearly put a lot of thought into the menu. That's why the gin and tonics come in Basque gin goblets and have an entire orange in them to balance the tonic's bitterness. That's why the Old Fashioned has absolutely no burn, only the smooth, smoky sweetness of the bourbon. I can truly say that these are the best cocktails I've had this side of the Mason-Dixon Line here.

Great Irish Pub in the sweet town of McKinney Texas in the Square. The food and drinks are typical Irish keeping with their heritage, I enjoyed the Irish Stew with its rich brown gravy, meat and veggies. For a special cocktail that is sure to please, try the Nuts and Berries! Bet cha can't have just one!!! They have great Irish beers and liquors as well! Super starters as well. Highly recommend!
