Luby's

Today I picked up a chicken fried steak with cream gravy mashed potatoes with cream gravy and Luby's famous macaroni and cheese with a white roll sorry I couldn't take a pic of it because I actually gifted my lunch to a friend but she told me it was fantastic as usual! Plus I love it that Luby's ads the plastic ware salt and pepper and they asked if you want any condiments to go with your meal through the drive-thru this makes it very efficient simple and they take care of all of their customers wonderfully! For this combo which is the full portion with taxes it came out to $13 which is very good considering that's how much you would pay for fast-food however Luby's is home cooking much better for you!

First of all Tyrone was a great server!!! There were only 3 servers working the whole floor. The establishment is older so it isn't the cleanest all around. And the servers on the line seemed to be a bit slow when we arrived at 6pm. But, when the crowd got bigger around 7pm, their line servers seemed to pick up the pace.

My salmon was dry. My Dad's chicken fried steak was cold. My Mom's chicken fried chicken was tasteless.
It was what it was.

Fresh good food! Wait staff very attentive. Thanks to Rene' for the help drink refills and keeping our table clean.

If your temper your expectations with the fact that it's a traditional cafeteria style restaurant, I suppose it's a good option. Service is definitely friendly and welcoming. Dining area was clean and provided ample space. However, like others mentioned, some dishes were lacking in flavor (particularly the macaroni and cheese). I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out, but in a pinch it would be an option.
