Food came quick and hot. Wasnt too crowded inside... only drawback is in the evening the sun comes in at a terrible angle and there aren't any shades...
Service has gotten much better here in the past few months, especially around the lunchtime hour. I also appreciate their spicy seasoning, tastes almost like Tony Cachare's cajun spices. However, they cut the number of chicken tenders in the student special from 5 to 4 this year. Don't think we didn't notice, Chicken Express. We have all noticed.
Have to say a lot about this place. I walked in, it was slow. The young lady greeted me, offered me up sells without being pushy, made sure my order was correct and smiled throughout. The manager and cook got together and threw out some of the catfish I was ordering and cooked it fresh for me. He gave me my food, smiled and thanked me. In a world of halfway trying, every single person there made sure I had a great experience. Kudos. I will be back again and again. BTW, I'm a restaurant manager and that place was clean and stocked as well. 10/10.
This place is always quick and consistently good! It's fairly reasonable for my large family. I love the fried okra and fried pickles! Their chicken tenders are good on their own, but, with the gravy, they're amazing! The sweet tea is good, but, is REALLY sweet! They've never messed up our order!
