We enjoyed our first Anaya's experience last summer in Richardson & were excited to find out they were opening in Plano.
Reservations were for a Wednesday dinner for the hubby's birthday. The server agreed that it was surprisingly not busy but recommended reservations since it usually is. Our server also recommended the special - stuffed flounder. When the flounder came out, I forgot it was flounder & thought it was chicken at first, it looked quite hefty. The fish was cooked just right & ordering the sauce on the side made a difference in not drowning the fish. I ordered the shrimp & grits; the shrimp was overcooked but the grits had flavor. For dessert, we were spoiled by a big hefty slice of chocolate cake & it was very moist & surprisingly, not too sweet or rich. We were so full when we left.
Looking forward to trying their brunch menu & key lime pie next time!
This has been such a great first experience! Beth, our server, was absolutely phenomenal and kind. She answered every question we had and I honestly could not ask for a better server. The employees even give out samples of the soups for first-time customers. We happily enjoyed tasting the gumbo, creamy poblano soup, and the classic new england clam chowder! It was really difficult to decide what to get as every food we tried just lifted us and our pallets higher with each bite. I look forward to coming again soon to try more delicious entrées.
Phenomenal! I’m not one to go to seafood restaurants because I find the food overpriced and Just good and not great. Anaya seafood was amazing! The oysters Rockefeller, recommended by our waitress was unbelievably DELICIOUS,so tender and fresh with a slight char flavor With the perfect amount of toppings, Every bite was HEAVENLY. Drinks were REALLY good, packed with flavor and smooth. The serving size for our fish entrée was very generous and the fish itself was cooked to PERFECTION, nice and flaky and amazingly fresh. One of the best bread pudding I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back. Service was impeccable, Prices were super reasonable. Truly can’t find a better seafood place than Anayas. Can’t wait to go back!
I’m beyond thrilled to have such an amazing seafood restaurant in the area! The team here is incredibly welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I love that they have specials on a chalkboard that can easily be read from all angles of the restaurant.
We got a sampler of the soups and they were all phenomenal and packed full of flavor! I got the crab cake appetizer for lunch and it was almost pure crabmeat with the most delicious aioli. It also came with a salad that was well dressed and a grilled lemon which was amazing over the crab! My dining companions had half orders of the blackened catfish and it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for great seafood and outstanding customer service.
Thank you so much!
We’re so glad this location opened! The staff is friendly and welcoming. We love sitting at the bar with Sebastian and Leo. The kitchen is always happy to add this or change that to a plate so it’s exactly the way we want it and the ingredients are always fresh and Instagram worthy. We definitely recommend this place to everyone we know.
