Manna Shabu Plano - Hot Pot Shabu Shabu

Best lunch ever all you can eat $17 per person... and the staffs was great.

The best Shabu place in Plano. Tommy, general manager served us with great sevice.

Pretty good and looks very sleek and modern inside. I really liked having my own soup bowl rather than sharing a large pot with the table. Vegetarian sides, seafood, noodles and sauces are available at the buffet area, and meat is order-only (but unlimited!). The staff was perfect. They brought water and soup stock quickly, and was always initiating the next meat orders. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

After a long wait for the opening of this location (where JT5 use to be) I have mixed feelings, but will give a fair review. For my personal tastes it is a 3, but could easily be higher for others :)

I love the selection of fresh vegetables, noodles, seafood etc. I hope they keep it this fresh and don’t cut back on ingredients from this station as time goes on.

The quality of their menu items are great as well. Nice thin slices of meat per plate (all you can eat so order more if you like) They do charge for uneaten plates of meat, so don’t order more than you want to eat. I like the smaller meat portions because you can try more cuts without filling up on a huge plate!

I also love the individual pots for cooking and you gave a variety of broths to choose from.

They also have real ice cream included for dessert! Chocolate, strawberry, vanilla! Nice way to end!

The CONS, this may keep me from visiting here again though :(

#1. I choose the Chinese Spicy herbal broth. It had no spice. It was really bland actually and more just herbal tasting with the tiniest amount of heat! That is your only option if you like spicy hot pot.

#2. The sauce bar is pretty standard. However, there is a definite sweetness to the main BBQ paste/sauce. I did my usual sauce with chilli oil, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, green onion and a dash of soy. The sauce has a very distinctive sweet taste. Other people at the table had it too when I asked.

So no spice and sweetness in their bbq paste kind of ruined it for me.

However, for those not caring about those things you will really enjoy this place! I wanted to love it because I’ve been waiting so long for thus re-open!
