Taqueria El Torito

Very delicious rice and beans!!!! Like, I ate the rice and beans before even the main dish. I ordered the chicken flautas, which I didn't like as much as they were a bit dry. However, I do have a friend who's made me absolutely incredible chicken flautas by frying them in lard, and to be fair I think these may have been baked. Nothing really beats things fried in lard!

Otherwise, the outside of the restaurant was a little daunting, as it had a hole-in-the-wall vibe and I don't know Spanish, but once I walked in, the cafe was bright and clean and everyone friendly! It ended up being a really good experience!

Edit: Also, three types of salsas and chips are served when you sit down. Warning, one of them may burn your face off haha! So so hot!

Nice friendly staff great food. Chorizo breakfast burritos meal is incredible. Comes with 3 huge burritos rice beans and a salad.

Authentic Mexican food very reasonable price. Friendly service. Complementary Chips and 3 different verities of dips ????????????????

This place is the spot. I've been going here for years. It's AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. You won't get Tex Mex here. The place could use an update but I feel that it will take away it's 'hole in the wall' charm. The food is amazing and super cheap. I love the torta de milanesa. They cook it perfectly and is huge. Plenty for two.

The atmosphere is awesome. The staff are all very kind. The food was DELICIOUS and for what you pay the portions are huge. The salsa roja/Verde was incredibly good. Cannot wait to go back.
