The Chinese Neighbor

Had the sesame chicken. Very salty. Husband had General Tso with shrimp also very salty. Not impressed. Sesame chicken was fried nuggets with a coating of some sauce and sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Shrimp were nice size but too much corn starch in sauce made it gooey lumps.

I only give 5 stars for restaurants that are my absolute favorites. This restaurant is very good, and I will definitely go back. The food was tasty, fresh, and reasonably-priced. The restaurant is clean. Being from NY, I think most Chinese food around here is subpar. The Chinese Neighbor, however, is legit.

The Chinese Neighbor provides a vast variety of dishes to try! My personal favorites, (along with my family's) are General Tso's Chicken with white rice, Mongolian Beef with white rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken with white rice, and Sesame Chicken with white rice. As an Asian family, we typically order foods that we are more comfortable with trying. We have tried so many Chinese restaurants, and we have tried to many of the same dishes. And I have to say, The Chinese Neighbor is the absolute best out of all of them! If you're like us and prefer traditional Chinese food, The Chinese Neighbor has it! However, if you want to try something new and delicious, you should definitely try some of their fusion dishes! They have something for everybody! The Chinese Neighbor has a very modern aesthetic to it, and the chef himself greets you and is open to your feedback. It's very cozy and clean inside and by far one of the best Asian restaurants in Prosper. My family absolutely adores it!

Love this new concept from former PF Chang’s executive chef! Creative fusion dishes and more standard ones as well. Several gluten-free options which is welcome here in Prosper.

Very good! Love the interior design of this place. Very clean. Very unique. Menu is interesting. We had the salt and pepper fish and chips and the Dragon dumpling burger. Although the portions were on the smaller side, it was the perfect amount for lunch. Both dishes were unique and flavorful. The fish was very tender and fresh. We were the only ones eating here at the time. Food came out quickly and an employee checked on us to make sure everything tasted good. We will be back and are excited to try the rest of the menu.
