Josephine's Neighborhood Bistro

The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was personable and warm.

It's a worthy neighborhood spot (probably one of the standouts in Wylie), but it would struggle in another market (such as uptown). If you're in the area and want to grab a quick bite, this is definitely worth a drop-in.

1st time here and we were really impressed. After reading other reviews they have obviously fixed the problems the other reviewers had. The food was real good. We had the steak and was cooked the way we asked. We had the side salad and followed up with the peach cobbler and was all so good. Our waiter Cole was real good and answered all our questions. We will be back.

don’t read the reviews, not even mine. just go in with an open mind and heart. take in the sights of the beautiful lights and sweet people, the smells of tasty food, and sounds of people enjoying each other’s company.

keep in mind though (if you’re still reading this) that it’s not perfect. the wait staff tries hard and still manage to do a good job. the food is pretty damn good (the hamburger was killer!). and it definitely doesn’t smell like moldy rags as it’s neighbor does.

reason i don’t give an extra star is because a guest arrived that apparently knew some of the staff. this kept our server’s attention away from my need for a drink refill. not cool. eyes on your tables, cool guy.

either way... go local! let’s support each other and create great experiences and things!!

Give Josephine's another try!! My husband & I almost did not go here last night after reading a lot of negative reviews about poor service and so-so food. So glad we went!! They were busy at 7:15 (sat eve) but we were seated promptly. Our waiter was prompt to greet us and get us settled with 2 waters while we perused the menu. He returned quickly to take our drink orders. When drinks arrived, we ordered our food and it was out within 15 minutes. I had the Schnitzel dinner and my husband had the 1/2 roasted chicken. Both were very good, we will definitely be going back. Wylie/Murphy desperately needed a non chain restaurant like this. The prices are very reasonable and the owner's did a great job remodeling a former fast food chicken place in to a white tablecloth cozy bistro. Welcome to the neighborhood Josephine's!!

Nice addition to the Wylie restaurant scene. Attentive staff. Unique menu. Real cloth napkins. A little more upscale menu than we are used to seeing in Wylie. You need to try this one out if you have not been there.
