Wonderful 1st time experience, which will become another one of our festive go-tos for an amazing feast! Service was impeccable. Hey, I like a quick meal, BBQ, tacos, 'burger, just as much as the next person, but there are very few great upscale options in Canyon Lake. This is one of them.
Great food and great service. Very good tap beers. Started with the gator bites and had the crab cakes and catfish atchafayla which were excellent. Very friendly people who explained their different dishes. The chef even stopped by to visit. A little pricey, but well worth the experience.
Tonight my wife and I ate at Robert's for the second time since they opened and have had an outstanding experience both times. The staff is friendly and courteous at all times and attentive to all your needs. I like that they serve a local Texas brewer's beer on tap and change up the food specials all the time. Finally, I should talk about the food because it is worth talking about. I am a food guy and go out of my way to find good, local places to eat wherever I am traveling. When I heard we were getting a Southern and Creole restaurant right down the road from the house I was excited. Again, Robert's didn't disappoint. Tonight u had a special and my wife had the Cajun pasta. Both were fabulous. If you are close to Canyon Lake and want something good to eat, this is where you want to stop.
Great meal. We had the boudain balls, chicken fried steak, and southwest pasta. I wouldn't recommend our appetizer, but everything else was great. We'll definitely go again to try more options. I wish I could have given 4.5 stars. And service was great!
A friend made reservations for 4:00 p.m. on Friday since the next available reservation was at 8:00 p.m.
We all met there and were seated promptly even after we had to change our attendees from 10 to 6.
The waitress was very helpful. After ordering entrees, we were brought bread and butter to snack on with our drinks.
I ordered the shimp and jalapeño grits with flash fried spinach and creamed greens. That flash fried spinach was freaking delicious! I could eat it all day every day. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the creamed greens were delicious. Others at our table had the seafood cakes and said they were very good.
I will definitely be back!
