Dos Rios Mexican Bar & Grill

We are new to the area and found this great place. The restaurant itself is so fun! They have the best chips in town. Most places here use stale, thick, tasteless chips, theirs are much better. The salsa is pretty good. I love the rice and beans. We got the chicken and beef nachos - so good, and I got the shrimp tacos. Everything was very good. We will go back.

The grilled shrimp was delicious and a nice large size. The beef and chicken were also tasty and well seasoned. The grilled items were not dry but a little bit are the charred side. I preferred flour tortillas over corn tortillas since the corn seemed kind of a mixture.

Dos Rios has a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan items from which to choose, which is great for a Tex Mex loving vegetarian. My absolute favorite thing to eat are the vegetarian fajitas. You get a massive amount of food and the chipotle smokey flavor that all of their food has just adds an extra "oomph" to all of their menu items. The staff is always friendly. One night, we visited and didn't know they closed earlier on Mondays. They still told us to come in, sit down, and I never got an impression that we were being rushed. The margaritas are also really good. Definitely hit this place up if you are visiting or just want a night out.

I had a small guacamole & traditional taco salad. Both were wonderful. The salad came with a homemade salsa ranch that was seriously the best I have ever had. I am never usually a fan of ranch sauces but this one is amazing. In addition to their complimentary salsa I also had a side of their homemade tomatilla salsa that was wonderful as well.

The salad was huge and could not eat even half. I asked for a to go container and the biggest one they had was not even close to the size I needed. The server was very friendly, but did not really attempt to meet my needs such as getting refills, etc. These are the only reasons for the 4 stars. Also the ground beef on the salad tasted really good but it could have been a little warmer. The entire salad was cold, but not sure if this is how it is served or not as this was my first visit.
