Buttermilk Cafe

The name attracted my attention when my husband & I were looking for breakfast. It was already close to 10:30am, called & was pleasantly told breakfast is served all day. We were seated immediately. Our waiter, Kelly, was helpful & efficient. The food was delicious. The grits were creamy and cooked with salt, absolutely wondeful. As were the shirred eggs & fried green tomatoes. Had to bring the biscuits & sausage gravy home for another day. The coffee, both regular and decaf, was also good. We have no complaints about our visit & will return.

We went there for a Authentic All American breakfast and they delivered. Biscuits and gravy and omelettes and eggs cooked to perfection. Fast and attentive service too!

I have eaten here a few times. But today I have the best service. Austin was my Waiter, as soon as I sat down he already bought me a glass off water then asked me what I would like to drink. He definitely got points in my book for this. Thank you again Austin for the all Star service!

Worth every minute of the wait! This was our first time visiting, we found them on Google, and drove in from San Antonio on our way to Gruene Market Days. We were quoted 45 min wait on St. Patty's for 2 people. We were told about the self serve coffee. We each got a cup, and reviewed the menu. Several dishes caught my eye, and my mother was stuck between two. She picked one, I picked the other, and we decided to share: Coastal Breakfast with Buttery Lobster Sauce and Shirred Eggs. The shrimp in the Coastal Breakfast tasted like they had just been caught! All the flavors came through on both breakfast plates! Do not sleep on this gem! Wait the 45min!!! Thank you Buttermilk Staff for a wonderful Breakfast!

Delicious....had the coastal breakfast with creole sauce. One of the best breakfasts of this type I have ever had. Fresh shrimp ..tasty grits. So good. Highly recommend. We will be back to try the rest of the awesome sounding menu!
