I took my elderly Mother here for lunch. She gets confused easily,(dementia). Our waitress Rachel, was very patient and sweet. Mom had a wonderful time. We had chicken fried steak and it was very very good. The outdoor patio was extremely pleasant on a beautiful spring day. Mom was entertained by nearby chickens, and truly loved her lunch. So did I!

This place was worth the wait time. The ambiance was so rustic country like... everything was great right from the staff to the food. The portions were Texas size and really delicious. We loved the visit and will surely stop by the next time we visit San Antonio. I totally get it why this places stays to busy all the time!!!

This restaurant serves delicious comfort food. The chicken fried steak is the best I've ever eaten! The $7 lunch special includes generous portions with entree, two sides, Texas toast, and a drink. Tax is also included. There's a nice patio area and a place for kids to play, too. I'll be returning for sure.

We split a large chicken fried steak, with 2 waters (it's what we wanted), with gravy dish for both on the side, 2 sides AND small salad. Ticket was under $12, before a well deserved tip for our very friendly waittress. We are taking a 1/4 of the steak home, very generous portions. It was delicious, crispy and excellent service!!!!! If we'd had room, we could have split a piece of pie. The portions of the deserts (sliced pie), in the desert cooler are huge!!! FIVE STARS!!!!! We'll be back!

Very fast service during busy lunch hour. Our waitress was very attentive. The food came out quickly, but cooked perfectly. So tasty. I will definitely be back again. ????
