Bare Bones BBQ

We had brisket and chicken. The meats were exceptional. Service was great. The sides were not as good.

The universal comment around the table was that everything was very dry. I had the pork and the chicken and others had their brisket. Overall the flavor was kind of unremarkable in bland but completely edible and satisying. The sides were standard and all were good. I had their coleslaw which was unique in that it contains cilantro, so that may not be for everyone. I also had their dirty rice, which was just regular rice with barely any spice on it. I'm spoiled as I routinely eat Kansas City BBQ. The place has a lot of ambience and the service was excellent and all of the workers were extremely nice.

The wife and myself took a road trip not long ago to Gatesville and was told by a friend to try this place Wasn’t disappointed at all.The staff was great and the BBQ was amazing.Definitely will return.

This was our first time eating in. Ribs were delicious. The fries were wonderful! The belly pack with jalapeno cheese sausage and brisket was great! We all left full and happy. The staff was really friendly and helpful, too. The dining room was clean. We will definitely return.
