Wife and I stopped here for takeout on a road trip across Texas. We ordered beans, a pork sandwich, and brisket. We’re used to baked beans from Tennessee and other southeastern states, so they were different than what we were accustom to (Texas baked beans are made differently). The brisket was good and the pulled pork was fantastic! They both had nice a smoked flavor and we’re very juicy! I asked the lady on the phone, when placing my order, If it came with any side sauces. She mentioned it comes with one side sauce. But when I got my bag there were three side sauces, it was generous of her to realize I wanted sauce and provided extra without us asking and their sauce was really good!! Customer service and food was great! We would definitely stop by again when traveling along I-10!
Great place to stop for some delicious BBQ. It is definitely a Ma and Pa store with a friendly older couple running the show. Very wholesome atmosphere. However, If you're not used to spice don't order the sausage
I'm in town for work for the next couple of weeks, and my coworker just introduced this amazing BBQ place! The flavor, the presentation, and most of all the love in the food! My first time enjoying the food, definitely will not be the last 🙏
GREAT BBQ and very nice folks! Generous portions of tender, delicious meats with fantastic potato salad. Found a pecan tree on the way to the clean restroom around back and they gave us permission to gather some pecans to take back home. Will be back next time through!
Good Texas BBQ. I had pulled pork, wife had the brisket. Both were well smoked and not overly seasoned. We had macaroni salad and potato salad, both looked freshly made. The macaroni salad had pieces of red pepper that really added a good, unique flavor. Price seemed a little high at first but you get a drink and a dessert included, which made it pretty standard price for a one meat plate. Also, there was a lot of meat on both of ours. Definitely more than most BBQ joints. Came with a pickle spear, sliced onions and a slice of homemade bread which was real good and a nice touch. There's no seating inside, but there's a couple of picnic tables outside. We are just passing through, but we would come here again the next time.
