Tortilleria isela Dalhart

I reminded me of my college days in Mexico! Clean place and amazing food

We were driving through town on our way to Lake City, Colorado and needed to stop and grab a bite. It was not quite breakfast and not yet lunch so our google search pulled up Tortilleria Isela which had great reviews so we figured we'd give it a try (we all like authentic Mexican places.) The space is humble and kind of a weird mix of restaurant and store - but it was clean and the service was beyond friendly. It seems most do take-out as there isn't a lot of seating, but the food, is excellent. Def. authentic Mexican food (so if you are more Tex Mex it might not be your thing) but they do have incredible tortillas. Highly recommend. One final note. The owner/operators don't speak much English so having a basic understanding of Spanish will help and a bit of patience as they'll do everything in their power to make sure you order what you would like best.

Taco meat seasoned and a hint of spice plus they make their own corn shells. Only thing is they don’t speak English but really nice.

My wife likes it. Says it's flavor is authentic. We stop there taking loads from Cali to Kansas so it's easy parking for a semi.

fantastic burritos with a great variety! fresh made tortillas! friendly faces giving great service! can pull up on a big rig to pick up to go! will stop here again and again!
