The Island Spot

I want to go back. Unfortunately, I was only there long enough to pick up a carry out order. The music and vibe of the place made me want to just chill at the bar for a while.

I love this place, the food is great but if you are looking for a special, distinctive dining experience... Well like I said, I love this place. And on the rare occasion, when the mood catches them just right, a couple of the young ladies have been known to spontaneously burst into song with big smiles and lovely voices...

Oh my goodness! The Island Spot is so delicious! I had the jerk chicken, rice and Peas, cabbage, and plantains. Everything was superb. The food came out promptly and the service was fantastic. The Island Spot is festively decorated and there is a definite "I'm on holiday in Jamaica" vibe.

Lunch just was not going my way... Until I stepped into The Island Spot. I took a deep breath, let the music wash away any negative vibes, and had a seat at the bar. Roger was friendly and inviting, he pointed out two of the top selling dishes, of-which I chose to go with the Jerk Chicken. Let me just say that it was a great choice! This chicken was flavorful and tender, with just the right amount of spice. I have to give this place 5 stars due to the good food and upbeat customer service!

This place definitely has some good food. No doubt about that and the waitress that served us was nice as well. The only problem we had was when we walked in there was an interesting smell. There was also a leak from the ceiling, so the floor around it was a little wet. Of course seeing those things we were a little skeptical about how this food was going to look and taste, but it turned out pretty good.
