Excellent BBQ and the crowds support my comment. A line out the door on a Wednesday evening - wow! Great choices of meats. The brisket was juicy & tender. One from our group got the rib eye and said it was also excellent. Worth the wait in line.

I got a lot of mixed reviews from friends about Hard 8, so I had to figure it out for myself. I have come to learn that the good BBQ joints in TX usually have a line. Hard 8 has a line, but they are really good at keeping it moving.

The I have tried the brisket, sausage, pork ribs and poppers. I tried the cornbread salad, creamed corn, beans, and peach cobbler.

The brisket is by far the best thing they serve. The pork ribs are tasty as are the sausages, but the poppers can be a little dry. They're too small to just sit near heat for a long time.

The cornbread salad wasnt for me, and I liked the creamed corn, but it just is never hot enough. Its kinda room temp in that little heater cabinet they store it in. The beans are good, but they could use a little something, not sure what, but just a bit of something to take them up a notch.

    The peach cobbler was tasty.

The atmosphere is fun, lots of seating, friendly staff, and for the most part its decent BBQ. I went a second time, and I am sure I will go again. It's good. It doesn't knock my socks off, but it definitely is better than what I can do, so I will be back.

The food was really good and the concept of selecting your food from the grill is unique. The team was great working with me as a first time visitor. The bartender was slow and busy chatting instead of asking me if I would like a beverage. It took me about 15 minutes to get a beer. She has to work o that, otherwise great experience.

I've eaten a lot of BBQ and I'd say this is some of the best. You line up and walk through the open pits and the serve you up whatever you want. The line moved pretty fast. There are plenty of good sides. The brisket is really good. The cornbread salad is good. Beans are very good and complimentary. Come early and best the crowd!

Great BBQ place. The wait line was a little long but so worth it! We ate the sausages, brisket, ribs (which ended up being the weakest of the meats), and a very nice rib-eye steak, as well as corn (boiled and roasted, if you need to choose, go for roasted), and desserts (pecan pie and cheesecake). Everything was delicious and well made. I especially recommend the rib-eye steak (do NOT listen to the staff and take their recommendations on cooking it to medium or medium-well, the meat is top quality and would be prefect as a medium-rare). Highly recommended.
