    Hailing from the wonderful vegan Mecca that is California, I thought I knew good vegan Mexican food. Boy, was I wrong. This place beat out my expectations! Large “meat” selection made for some of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time, and the BBQ sandwich was absolutely glorious! To top everything is a huge selection of vegan Mexican (and American) pastries. All hail El Palote!

    Our go to Mexican vegan food fix, whenever we're in the area. I wish they could open up another location up North (McKinney/Anna area) bc it's a drive but worth it. ❤ If you want an authentic Mexican food fix, go here! It's 100% vegan ????, delicious n they have Mexican sweet bread!!!! Love it!

    This is where I bring my vegan doubting family and friends. They are always amazed at how delicious the food is, some asking "Are you sure this is vegan?" Love this place!

    It was a wonderful taste bud experience and the dessert case was amazing. Just some issues with seating and no one to clean tables. Very crowded restaurant on a Saturday mid-day but otherwise no concerns. Worth the 45 minute drive from where we live. Tamales, enchiladas, burritos, tortas, nachos... and vegan (Homer Simpson voice) donuts!

    I will FOREVER love this place. I think the soy styles could be marinated a bit more to represent a more authentic flavor. But, that's my only gripe. The BBQ sandwich was even better than I expected it to be.
