Love love the bread! They slice the meat at the store. Good selection. But the standard sandwich is thin on meat (as pictured). I think the double meat is probably the way to go.

Great BBQ sandwich with super tender meat and mild (not spicy) sauce with purple onions. My husband is a vegetarian and he got the cheese sandwich with the works (all veggies). I tasted it and it was possibly even better than mine. Or different but equally good.

We went through the drive-thru and the guy working was super accurate in answering my questions. Overall excellent service and great sandwiches! I'd never been there but checked out their website when i got home to see if they had any locations near where we live. (They didn't.)

Food was so appetizing. I'll return friends next time. It has a cool interior. I see why this place has a lot of positive reviews.

The Great Outdoors is a great local sub shop that has a lot of delicious sandwich options at fair prices. Their meat is sliced fresh which gives it a great flavor with a lot of fresh veggies to top the sandwich off. You can have your sandwich toasted or cold and the service is very friendly. If you are looking for a great sub, the option to support local business and friendly faces, you definitely need to give The Great Outdoors a try.

I love the sub shop! Before Jersey Mike's and Jimmy John's that was The Great Outdoors. I love their wheat bread what's the number 7 which is turkey and swiss. I'm sorry turkey and provolone. They have this thing called The Works it's got oils and peppers and all this good stuff. I typically just roll with some ranch some lettuce stuff like that. But they make a quality sandwich they also cater. They do these really long Subs. Like six feet. It's not the fastest place to get food but the food is good it's affordable and it's healthy. Provided you go easy on the Mayo. :-)
