Interesting place. The food was flavorful. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. Our waitress was polite and spot on with our drinks, but firm about not splitting up our check.
Nice location for quality Japanese food. it was so tasty. next time i'll be back with my relatives. prices were average for the menu. i can see why they have a lot of great reviews.
Japanese food at this spot - very good. Great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. Prices were decent.
For the record this used to be my favorite restaurant in Dallas, but it has taken a serious nose dive.
For starters, rather than choosing your own yakitori you are now forced to do the chef's tasting at $30 a pop, and your entire party must do it. Good luck getting out at a reasonable price if you have more than 2 people. I understand chef's tastings and the appeal, but I don't get axing the rest of the skewers, or the ability to choose.
Additionally, the atmosphere is pretty depressing. There was a huge water stain and ceiling damage over the bar when I went two weeks ago. They also have a huge sheet covering the entrance to keep heat in, and 3-4 space heaters on the floor. The specials board is also now a bleak, empty wall behind the counter.
Sadly I won't be coming back unless I hear they've made a major turnaround.
