The only bad thing about this place is the line that gets packed. Seems like it's no longer my little gem. Top notch soul food, if you're into that sort of thing.

The selection of food is fantastic! Order the fillets, that are REAL catfish, and it is made to order. Yes, it is fresh, and a good portion. The surprise was how well the hush puppies and salad were seasoned. I am going back this week. The cake is delicious. They are made in house as well, but varies by day. The food is worth the drive.

A must go to place... The chapter of the fraternity that I am a member of ordered catfish, chicken wings, hush puppies, seasoned fries, and Texas toast with the peppers n pickles. The taste of their food is burned into my memory and taste buds. Flavortown don't have anything on them... Be sure to order early because the kitchen shuts down at 6:15 P.M. I'm personally going to drive there (30-40 minutes) just for another meal. ????????????

I would love if they had a more consistent menu. I’ve been on a Sunday and a Thursday. Both days the food was different. The staple food (fried chicken and fish) is never done so you about a 30 minute wait when you order. They have some tasty food but you never know what you’ll get when you arrive. The place is 30 min away from where I live so it’s not worth the drive if you never know what food is available.

Very friendly excellent customer service. Food is seasoned very well especially the fried chicken and fish. Collard greens and cabbage are amazing. I will definitely be back.
