    Fantastic experience.

There is a walkup counter that serves food much like a chipotle. I got the ribs and brisket. This had a mellow smoky flavor and was tender as anything. The smell of wood often slips out of the back into the dining room.

Their lemonade and unsweetened ice tea was okay but I didn't think the lemonade was quite tart enough. The cornbread was excellent. The baked beans were surprisingly spicy. The mac and cheese was pretty good.

I would come back or bring other people here .

Have you ever wondered if Texas hospitality has a taste? Or if you can bottle the essence of what Texas truly is? The answer to your question resides at Smokey John's Bar-B-Que & Home cooking. When you first walk in you notice how clean and shiny everything is. The next thing you will notice is the aroma of freshly smoked and seasoned to perfection ribs. Not quite fall off the bone but if you're like me, I like my ribs to have a bit of cling. Succulent and moist to the last mouth watering bite. I didn't even have a chance to try it with their own house made barbecue sauce. They needed no help in the flavor department. The staff will welcome you with big friendly smiles as if you had been a customer for years. Within four visits they even started getting my order ready when they saw me through the window. They have a plethora of diffrent meats sides and even cornbread or Texas toast to choose from. And the prices are so fair it almost makes me feel bad for paying so little for such quality delicious food. All in all Smokey John's not only made me feel welcome. They made me feel like family. Seriously you won't regret paying this extraordinary establishment a visit.

My fav location for tasty BBQ. Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. The bill was good for how much you get. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.

I ordered 2lbs of ribs, which was really good!! I will definitely go back!! The guy packed my ribs, I was standing in front of the veggies and the guy asked me what sides did I want. I asked the guy if sides come with 2lbs of ribs, he said they did. So I got the mac/cheese and green beans, both was good. Once I made it to the cashier, she asked the guy standing next to her what did I have, he said he didnt know and walked off. I told her my order, including the mac/cheese and green beans, then I said but the sides comes with my 2lbs of ribs. And she said no. It's separate, I told her that's not what the guy told me, and I really didn't want the veggies, but that was the only reason I got them. I could tell she was frustrated at the guy for telling me that. It would be nice if the servers actually knew the menu. That was my only issue. The food is really really good!!!

Omg... was recommended here to try a few items... had to try a bunch of different things. Not a single disappointment. This place is truly legit and the staff was great. This was the only thing I had left to try, the peach cobbler .....ate it all. ????
