Finally dined here after driving by it for 25+ years!

    Pros:
    Pickles in the table: yum!
    Half duck was perfect.
    Rack of lamb was delicious.
And who knew I liked giant carrots before today! Wow!

    Cons:
Water refill guys: felt like I was a victim of driveby shootings every time they swept through the dining room. WTH!
Ice cold butter served with the warm beautiful bread roll: why ice cold?
Key Lime Pie: they said tangy, I tasted bitter.
    $5 Valet parking!

OMG! I was so excited to walk into Bob's Steak and Chop House on Lemmon Ave and see that Bob was back!!! He was greeting and seating his guests and we all loved seeing him back in action - reminded us all of 20 years ago! Now about the food....UNBELIEVABLE as always! Jumbo shrimp cocktail, onion rings, bread, spinach, mushrooms, garlic smashed, wedge salad and the BEST steak ever cooked to perfection! A great wine list and amazing wait staff...thank you Christi! Truly the best night! Can't wait to go back! Welcome Back Bob!

Great as always; sometimes is better is than other times, bit tonight was awesome. Matt P was our server and he was beyond excellent. Drinks were outstanding, and the food was just perfect. Great visit today.

Having just returned from Ireland, looking forward to comparing old world to our concept of old world, it had been, literally, 25 years since my last reservations were made at Bob's, but it's memory seemed a good choice for the comparison. Matt was a spot on server, with no missed steps. Onion rings were good, large and exact amount of salt. Blue cheese salad was very good, but the wedge salad was spot on and delicious! 9 oz filet was perfectly cooked for medium plus liking and sweet potato the best item on the plate. Signature carrot was the disappointment, under seasoned with an unusual taste. The most interesting element of this Bob's experience - what was being worn by a high percentage of patrons. The guy at the table closest to our booth, perpetually on the phone, was wearing a white T- shirt and jeans, many others dressed as if they just came from a stroll at the farmers market or a walk on Galveston beach, and this was a Friday night in Dallas. That being said, if you're wondering if there's a dress code, check it off the worry list, wear whatever you like. Solid food, great service, but on this visit, Ireland's steak experience won the gold.

Had the pork chop and it was excellent. My wife had the rack of lamb, also excellent. Our guest had the NY Strip, and it was just average. Drinks were good, extensive wine list. Good cocktails. Wait staff was excellent.
One complaint is the booths. They are terribly uncomfortable, we changed to a table. They really need to update the seating - both tables and booths.
