Only been there twice, but it's it's really nice! Dark wood yet well lit with paintings and plant live gives it a country European flair. The food is very good, so is the coffee. The desserts look intimidating, but go for it. It's not in an open, obvious area, so you'll have to look it up. I guess that's part of the charm: you'll have to be in the know to know where to go.
Unfortunately I had high expectations. The menu looks incredible and the cakes are beautiful. However, our mixed drinks were awful. Had to send back and the news drinks were hardly better. It was well after lunch and service was super slow, sorry plates left on our table, had to ask for check. Hopefully just an off day.
We went for brunch on a Saturday and it was crowded, had a bit of a wait but we also had a large party. I ordered the turkey burger with sweet potato fries and all I can say is yummy. Also our waiter (tall guy with dreads) was fabulous. Food and service get a thumbs up.
I really, really enjoyed this place. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and wow they were good. The chicken was tender, the waffles were crispy, and the gravy and hot sauce mixed perfectly. I also really liked the variety of breads they provided as a starter, as opposed to giving a plain old bread. If I’m in the area again (which I hope to be) I’ll definitely stop here for breakfast!
Our food was really good and portions are big. Love that you can have breakfast any time. Quality breads and pastries as well. Great waitstaff. It was a busy Sunday on Memorial Day weekend and service was still quick. All open seating but still a great atmosphere. Will probably drop by again next trip to Dallas.
